Men, do you wear an ear ring (or earrings)? Why?

Not anymore I did it as a teenager wore until I was 25 26 somewhere around there My wife wants me to start wearing it again
Why? At first rebellion & to piss my parents off (stepdad) The only thing he said to me was "Nice Jewelry" Well that failed, I liked it & kept it The hole is still open Sooooo Who knows? I might start wearing it again

No.

It does not help me in any way, so it is completely useless to me.

no. i dont think earrings look good on guys

No, I don't.
Why? Because it doesn't appeal to me.

no.

because i'm not GAY!

I used to, I realized by mid-high school I was resembled a pirate so I took it out.

yes
2 it was the same price as having one.
some where to store paper clips.
enjoy the day

Never Happen;

MEN don't Wear Earrings....!!

No. Not in my own culture.

no I do not.

No, I never have. In a sense I respect the rebelliousness of those who do. But I guess I have a hang up that a male doesn't use ear rings. The other thing that would keep me from doing it is the concern about pin and the possibility of infection after ear piercing.

I have a bad habit of picking my ear ring?

I have a bad habit of picking at the back of my earring. I keep on pushing it up and down. Now my ears are sore. I dont know how to brake the habit but I want to soon. My ear is also getting infected. I cant really tke my er rings out yet for nother month...HELP!

tape it or stop doing it

hmmm stop picking at it. go cold turkey

chop your fingers off that shud do it lol

Stop touching it... clean your hands. Get a regular ring around one of your fingers so you can mess with that instead!

just put something for infection , and get the hands out of it!

Take It Off Till You Stop, Then Put It Back On.

find an alternative until you can get the earrings out, like biting handkerchiefs etc. just to brake you out of the habit until you can get the earrings off.

Just take them out, let them close up, I don't think you're ready yet, get them pierced again some other time, and try to keep your hands occupied next time, so you won't.

I did the same thing, I took them out, let them close up and tried again, with different earrings, turns out it was the earrings because they were too tight.

I do that a lot too. What I usually do to help the infection is I take out the earrings for a while and clean them in alcohol and peroxide and I put in 14k gold studs for a while. As for breaking the habit, you might try not wearing earrings for a while, or tell your friends or family that if they see you doing it to tell you. That way you might be more aware of when you're doing it and you'll know to stop.

Ohhh girl!! Let me tell you something I had the SAME problem when I was younger, it felt pretty good to pick my ears when they had earrings in them, but stop doing that or else they will get DROOPY if you keep doing it! Put alcohol on them or something! Let me tell you, my ear lobes are hella droopy and I'm only 17!! And I look at my mom's ear lobes and they're PERFECTLY fine!!! And she's like 50!!! So you don't want that I'm tellin you-it sucks!! Hope they don't end up like mine! Good luck!

Should I as a volunteer to The Salvation Army Thrift Store have to remove my earrings, nose ring and lip ring?

I do volunteer work at a Salvation Army Thrift Store, so I don't get paid for the work that I do there. I have been in agruments with the church pasture who runs the building a few times. He states to my manager that no empoyee who works there is to have visable peircings only in the ear lubes stickly. The manager has just sluffs him off when he comes in and mentions that she still has an employee with visable peiercings. I have my entire ear peierce with 14 earrings per ear, I wear a small barely noticable silver nose stud and have a small silver bearing in my lip. In your opion should I be able to wear these peiercings since I am volunteering my free time anyways. Or should I have to remove them and walk around with noticable wholes in my face and have customers stare?

Absolutely not. You're working as a volunteer, not even getting paid. They need you much more than you need them, if you understand me. You could quit and wouldn't be hurting anyone but the store. So they should appreciate you, piercings and all.

i would say keep them in and tell the manger that if u can't keep the earrings in you are not volunteering your free time there anymore!

Interesting name. Not surprised.

It is not against the law for a private institution to have a dress code. Doesn't mean I believe in what the supervisor is recommending, but...

I think you should volunteer someplace where they accept your metal apparati, and where it is not against their rules to wear it. After all, SA is a religious charity and you have to respect that.

If it's their policy, then you should follow it, and if you don't want to follow it, then stop volunteering. They don't have to let you volunteer with your extra piercings, but you don't have to volunteer without them.

I can understand that they could think the extra piercings could make the customers uncomfortable.

They have a dress code. Either conform or go elsewhere.

Rules are rules. They are made for a reason. Grow up and deal with it. Welcome to the real world.

If the arguments upset you, you might consider volunteering somewhere else. The manager appreciates your volunteering and the pasture needs to find a new line of work.

Well as a person who attends the Salvation Army I know that it is really frowned upon to have visible tattoos and piercings because it is our belief that our body is borrowed from God while we are here on this Earth, and that it should be kept holy! If it really bothers you about not wearing the piercings then just dont volunteer even though the time that you do volunteer from your heart is really needed and appreciated! I think it would be in great reverance to God if you would just not wear the piercings the couple of hours you volunteer because all the people who do stare at your face about the noticable holes, you will never see them again! What Salvation Corps is this that you are volunteering at?

How do I remove the earring that pierced the top of my ear? It is a ring with a ball screwed into it?

The ball can spin but it just goes round and round and doesn't unscrew. I need to take it out for a job interview

I have one of those too. It will unscrew, keep turning it and pull the ends of the ring slightly The ring doesn't go right trough the ball, the ball just has small dents in the side so you need to pull on the edges of the ring.

I have a little bump right by my one ear-ring hole, what is it?

I have had these holes like 2 years, I had some cheaper stud earrings in for like 2-3 weeks without taking them out and when I did they were a bit dirty and there is this odd little bump by the one hole. Its very small, hard and red. It almost hurts/itches, but only if I touch it. Wtf is this thing?
I have had little pimples in my ear and they are gross..but this is diffrent I think. I was wondering about like an infection bump or something.
No, its earlobe. I have three at the bottom of each ear and a cartilage piercing in one too, the third hole on one ear nipped the cartilage and it hurt a lot to heal. This one is an old piercing though, it has been healed for a long time. I have left earings out of it for 2 weeks or more and it hasnt shut so I know it is healed. The bump is going away, I think it was a reaction to the earing, like a rash. Thanks to all who replied!

Tips Pour In After "Dating Game" Serial Killer's Photos Are Released WIBW

"We've received several calls saying that someone in a photo could be so-and-so who's been missing or found dead," Ellis said Friday. "The response has been overwhelming, and that's what we were looking for."

Investigators are trying to determine whether any of the people shown in the photos were victims of Rodney Alcala, 66, who was convicted last month of kidnapping and murdering a 12-year-old girl and raping and murdering four Los Angeles County women in the 1970s. A jury this week recommended he be sentenced to death.

Ellis said police received tips on as many as four dead or missing women who were identified by people calling and e-mailing about the photos. "People are saying that they recognize someone from their past, from school or college or the neighborhood beach," he said.

The two women who identified themselves from the photos on Friday were minors at the time the pictures were taken and are now in their 40s, Ellis said. Police are not releasing their identities, though Ellis said they live in California.

Huntington Beach Police are contacting law enforcement authorities across the country with information about dead or missing women who were identified by people calling or e-mailing on Friday, Ellis said. He stressed that police have not confirmed that any of the women or children in the photos are dead or missing.

The photographs were discovered in a storage unit Alcala kept in Seattle, Washington, said Susan Kang Schroeder, public affairs counsel for the Orange County district attorney. The locker also contained earrings that belonged to Robin Samsoe, the 12-year-old girl whom Alcala abducted and killed in 1979.

"One of the seminal pieces of evidence in the [Samsoe] case was an earring that Robin was wearing," Schroeder said. "And we know it was her earring because her mom had clipped part of the earring."

Schroeder said that the fact that the earrings were found in the same locker unit with the pictures raised fears that he may have considered the photographs trophies of his victims. "We know that Mr. Alcala used his photography as a ruse to get close to his victims," she said.
