Where can i find a brooch/pin for a pink and black dress?

I have this black dress that has a pink bow that goes under the bust. I am going to wear it for a batmitzvah that is coming up so I was going to put a little pin/brooch in the middle of the bow so it doesn't look so boring. What store do you think i should look at? please no online stores. I need this quick.

P.S. I would perer that is it silver and medium sized

Id go to your local vintage store and check out the brooches they have. A lot of times you'll find something trendy and unique.

Plus, you won't wind up looking like a tacky mess with some plastic nightmare you found at Target.

This mite sound weird..but Im watching telly & everyone on the news is wearing one...really getting curious on what it is???!!

please get me out of this madness of not knowing what it is!!!

Its a poppy, it's to mark rememberence day, we wear them out of respect to all the people that died fighting for freedom in world war 1 and 2. The popy itself came from a battle field known as flanders field, Shortly after ww1 had ended some went back to flanders field and where there was shell craters and other signs of war when the war was on there was poppys, so the poppy became the symbol of rememberence and the motto is lest we forget.

I'm looking everywhere for a beautiful cardinal pin/brooch for an influential woman who loves birds. Need something classic and at the same time lovely. Winning points to the person who comes up with the most beautiful find.

I truly don't want to spend very much (less than $50) on a pin. Maybe even $25... Something very simple to hold my scarf/wrap together. It doesn't see that may places sell brooches anymore. I am only in my twenties and don't want anything "grandmotherly". Any ideas please?? I am searching with no luck!

Well I don't know, you may try Target or an antique store (they might not even be "grandmotherly"). Everything old is new again.

Aren't they the same thing?

A broach is a large (kind of like a button.. it can be a solid metal usually an animal or flower(usually sprayed to look gold or silver) but it can be beaded or clothe and it usually looks like an animal or flower... but it can look like anything a book, food item... ect...
broaches are usually the size of a 50 cent piece or bigger

a pin is a smaller broach same qualities just in a smaller version...
a pin is usually the six of a nickel or bigger.
